Petrol prices sheared in Te Kuiti
Te Kuiti locals, tourists and skiers travelling through the shearing capital of the world will now enjoy discounted petrol prices thanks to Gull New Zealand who opened its new site on Tuesday.
Gull Te Kuiti, located at 70-72 Te Kumi Road, SH3, is open 24 hours a day with customers able to pay for fuel with eftpos and credits cards at the pump.
Renowned for keeping competitors honest and prices low, Gull New Zealand has already observed that the opening of their new site has seen a continuation of the ‘Gull Effect’.
“When we opened up on Tuesday, neighbouring Z’s petrol prices immediately dropped by 12 cents on Regular and 10 cents on Diesel ,” says Karl Mischewski, Retail Development Manager at Gull. There is already a competing BP and Waitomo site in town, so you have to wonder why prices have been so high and so similar for Te Kuiti locals with three supposed competitors in town over many years?
“We’re excited to see that fuel prices have already dropped in Te Kuiti, which until now has seen very little competition.”
Set up as an unmanned station, Gull Te Kuiti will provide motorists will 24-hour access to Regular 91, Gull Force 10 (98) and Diesel, the latter with a high-flow option available.
“We’re really excited about the opening of Gull Te Kuiti as it gives motorists travelling along SH3 even more options to top up with Gull’s discounted fuel,” concludes Mischewski.
Location of Gull Te Kuiti: 70-72 Te Kumi Road, SH3, Te Kuiti.
