Thanks to SURF2SURF for this weekend's North Island surf report:
This weekend we have more settled weather conditions and generally an easing swell trend for both coasts.
NE and E coast breaks will see smaller ENE groundswell for the weekend (throw in the longboard), west will see a slight drop in size but another groundswell on the way for Monday (2.5m SW 12 sec open ocean). Winds picking up westerly over the weekend but Saturday looking ok.
Offshores continue for NE and E coast spots this weekend with a slow easing ENE groundswell (the swell will be longer period though up to 14 seconds).
West will see a drop in size and west breezes Saturday - so not looking too bad.
Westerly winds pick up for west coast breaks Sunday and the swell could build in the afternoon and solid for Monday.
NE and E coast will have some lingering small ENE groundswell Sunday - should still be a longboard wave on for exposed spots.
