COVID-19 LOCKDOWN UPDATE

15 February 2021 - Blog by the team at Gull

18 August, 2021

At Gull we are committed to supporting the health and safety of customers and staff at our sites at all times. As our Government make COVID-19 announcements of changes between Alert Level 1 - 4, service stations will continue to operate and support New Zealanders, as they are considered to be essential services.

At Alert Level 4:

Our hours - We are still open for business across the country. Should site hours change on a large scale, updates will be made on our Station Locator. Please contact a manned site directly if you have specific queries regarding their operations.

Social distancing - A 2-metre distance is expected between all persons on the forecourt and in stores. Depending on each operator's policy, shop entry and convenience store goods will be available and perspex shields will be installed at counters to minimise contact. Where a Speedlane (a pay-at-pump facility) is available, you will still be able to use these without accessing the store.

Cleaning - There will be an increase to the level and frequency of cleaning high-touch areas, including our pay-at-pump terminals, EFTPOS facilities, doors, counters and pump nozzles. Hygiene standards will remain at the very highest level and staff will sanitise often and engage in the use of face masks, when required.

Masks mandatory - From 11:59pm 18 August, it will be mandatory for anyone aged over 12 to wear a mask when visiting essential services that remain open. It will also be mandatory for staff working at those essential services to wear a mask.

We will need your support to keep our sites safe. Please stay home and refrain from coming onto a Gull site if you are feeling unwell. Scan, sanitise, wear your face mask and of course, be kind.
